Yes. Fast Lane is a registered Automotive Repair Dealer with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). We follow CA estimate and invoice laws on every job, we use CARB-compliant parts, and we're fully insured for your vehicle while it's in our care.
Diagnostic fee starts at $120 and rolls into the repair cost if you proceed. Repairs themselves depend entirely on what's wrong — O2 sensors, EVAP repairs, and light work usually land in the $200–$500 range. Catalytic converters are pricier (that's just parts). You get a written estimate before any work begins. No surprises.
Most of the time, yes. Sensor swaps, leak repairs, gas cap / purge valve issues — all same-day. Bigger jobs like cat converters, ECU-related issues, or readiness monitors that need a long drive cycle can take 1–3 days. We'll tell you straight once we diagnose.
Pretty much any gas passenger vehicle OBD-II and newer (1996+). We handle domestic, Japanese, Korean, and European makes. Diesel smog is a specialty — message us first to confirm. We don't currently work on motorcycles or vehicles needing smog exemption paperwork.
